Delete Your BoardBound Account

How to request account and data deletion · Martin Apps LLC

BoardBound supports complete account and data deletion at any time. You can delete your account directly from within the app, or send a deletion request by email if you no longer have access to the app.

This action is permanent. Once deleted, your study history, AI tutor conversations, progress data, and account credentials are removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.

Method 1 — Delete from within the app (recommended)

Open BoardBound.
Sign in if you are not already signed in.
Tap the Settings tab.
Scroll to the Account section.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account and all associated data are removed from our servers immediately. You'll be signed out and returned to the welcome screen.

Method 2 — Email request

If you have uninstalled the app, lost access to your sign-in method, or otherwise cannot use Method 1, send a deletion request to:

Email: privacy@martinapps.dev
Subject: Account deletion request

Please include in the body of your email:

The email address you used to sign up for BoardBound.
If you signed in with Apple or Google instead of email, the name on that account.
A brief statement confirming you want your account and all associated data deleted.

We process email-based deletion requests within 7 business days. We may reply asking you to confirm the request from the email address tied to your account, to prevent unauthorized deletion.

What gets deleted

When you delete your BoardBound account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

Your email address and account credentials
All practice answer history and study progress
Spaced-repetition review schedules
AI tutor conversation history
Daily streak and exam target settings
Crash report records associated with your account

Data that is not stored on our servers is also removed when you uninstall the app:

Locally cached question content (lives only on your device)
Device-local AI tutor consent record

What happens to my subscription?

Account deletion does not automatically cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and must be canceled separately:

iOS: Open the iOS Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → BoardBound → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BoardBound → Cancel.

If you delete your account while a subscription is still active, you will continue to be charged at each renewal date until you cancel through Apple or Google. Refunds for unused subscription time are handled by Apple and Google according to their respective policies.

Recovering after deletion

Once your account is deleted, the data cannot be recovered. If you wish to use BoardBound again in the future, you will need to create a new account. Your previous study history will not be restored.
